hello, i have tried and failed to setup my r8000 to email me the log files. i'm using gmail and have set up the account,. in the log file when i click send logs i get the following message "[email failed] internet connection is dropped" i have searched the forums and can't find an aswer (seams to be a lot of older posts) smpt.gmail.com. port 465

any thoughts on how i can solve this - i presume it is to do with some setting in thier my netgear account which means it does not recognise my device i am not sure what to do other then tell them to create a new email address and hence a new mynetgear account . anyone got any good ideas how i might solve this??

r7900 emailing logs via google gmail fails i have read many of the other threads for this issue. i am using port 465, with "smtp.gmail.com" i have tried my standard gmail password, and i also have an "application specific password" setup, gmail shows the app specific password was never authenticated/used.

of course, i have already added the bypass account online. when i follow the instructions, and click on "changed custom settings" it takes me online to netgear.opendns. . . and shows me the bypass account. yet, i am unable to access some sites that i need to access such as email for yahoo.
